What are Invisalign Teen Aligners?

dr david bright of bright orthodontics is an invisalign preferred providerInvisalign Teen aligners are made from smooth, clear plastic that is virtually invisible. If your friends can see them, they are too close! LOL. As your smile improves with each set of aligners, you’ll enjoy confidence all along the way.

When you meet Dr. Bright, he will determine if your orthodontic situation is right for Invisalign Teen. If so, a quick, easy scan of your teeth will help a computer build a 3D model of your teeth that will be used to create a model of how your teeth will look at each step of straightening. It is so exciting to see your smile before you even start your treatment plan.

In a couple of weeks, you will get your new Invisalign Teen aligners. You will wear a set approximately 2 weeks before switching to the next set. Depending on your case, treatment time may be as short as 9 months or as long as 18 months.

How is Invisalign Teen Different from Regular Invisalign?

invisalign teen helps teenagers follow their treatment plan with a blue dot that fades with aligner useInvisalign Teen is specially designed to help you follow your treatment plan. It can be tempting to tell yourself that after eating, you will go brush your teeth and put the aligners back in later. But that usually results in you not wearing your aligners long enough for them to do their job. Invisalign Teen aligners have blue dots at the back where they cannot be seen. But they tell you (and your parents and orthodontist) if you have been wearing the aligners 22 or more hours per day or not. If you aren’t, then aligners must be worn for a longer period of time which extends the time until you have a perfect smile.

The other feature of Invisalign Teen is that you get 6 free bonus aligners during your program. So, if you lose or damage an aligner, it can be replaced.
